This Family Classics Chess Set is a nice step up from starter sets. Chess men are traditional Staunton style in solid-body plastic. The sturdy cardboard chess board measures 16-1/2" x 16-1/2" and features a photo print that simulates inlaid wood. Pieces are the color of light and dark wood and are scaled to a king 2-5/8" tall.

Submited By: Max Rosenberg on 06/13/2006 This is one of my favorite games because it requires strategy (and it's really fun if you can surprise-attack your opponent). It's best if you are willing to sacrifice some of your best pieces to get a good set up for attack. If I could, I would rate this game one hundred thousand quadrillion stars. I never get tired of playing it.
